Hi all,
Can anyone advise what the best to do with pool over the winter months?
Drain it, leave it full and cover it, keep putting chemicals in it?
Cheapest option as well please.
Thanks

If my memory serves me correct I think in Uzumlu it is mandatory to drain your pool over the winter. I'm sure someone will know if that is still the case.

Wrong Stoop, never heard of that and we live here.
You shouldn't drain your pool as any earth movement could crack the tiles ,grout, concrete etc. If you are living here then you can buy over winter chemical tablets to maintain water quality.
If you are not living here then leave it half empty so it doesn't flood in the winter rains.

Honey Bee - we drain ours down by about a third.......have found that keeping the water in to normal level over the winter requires emergency call outs to our maintenance chap when it rains and overflows !! So Ibrahim drains some off the top and blitzes it with winter chemicals. Think we need to regrout next spring....this is our fifth winter and it needs a bit of a spruce up :(

Hi,
Will leave it to Ibrahim then.
Thanks for all the info.
