Does anyone have the telephone number for Serkan Vets on the Migros road as I know he comes highly recommended on here? Thanks. Caz

He really tried to help doing all he could. Such a caring man.

My cat who is nearly 16 years old has some sort of illness which has been very noticable these last few days. After my own reearch I thought I knew the problem, despite not being a vet. I went to see my regular vet (but no more) took him print outs and explained her condition etc. All i wanted him to do was to check her out and find out for me, not to just go by what I thought. I had a call from him saying he knew nothing about the condition I mentioned and to find out more. This without even suggesting I take her in.
Losing confidence in him I called Serkan, went to see him this morning, he came straight over to check over my cat and said her condition was not what i thought, but more serious, but could be controlled and no way should I have her put to sleep till he had done blood tests etc. I certainly do not believe Serkan is doing this just for lira, but genuine and honest concern.
So tomorrow I take my cat in for tests and we can take it from there.
With luck she will have more good years left in her with the real care and regular checks she may need.
Of course it could all be too late, but at least I will know if she still has life in her, I know I will now have an excellent vet to get good advice knowing my cat has someone genuine & caring to look after her.
Whatever the outcome, I already have to thank Serkan for taking such an honest, genuine and caring attitude.
I am another here would not hesitate in advising anyone else who needs a vet to go and see him.

I have lots more confidence now.
Just knowing the cats illness is a help, and more so knowing Serkan will do his best for both of us.

Post by: col on December 22, 2010, 13:41:33 PM: Once again I can only thank Serkan so so much for what happened today. This morning my cat with chronic renal failure suddenly went into a relapse, despite my own looking after her these past weeks and Serkans genuine help, she had to be put to rest before she suffered. I called Serkan and within an hour he was here and gently put her to rest before she was in any real pain.
She is now buried under a lemon tree in the garden.
Thank you again Serkan for your genuine feelings to all the animals you care for.
RIP my little Saffy
