Title: Checkin fiasco at Glasgow
Post by: littlereddevil on September 27, 2010, 16:54:17 PM
Checked in at TC Glasgow yesterday with hand baggage. On the scales, one was 4.9 other was 5.1. No go. Then insisted I add my handbag. Even bigger no go. Wanted £15 to check the 2 hand baggage on hold.  No way says me I will take things out. Took out books etc laid them down ( ready to pick up after checking in ) and back to another checkin. The girl never even weighed our hand baggage just handed us our boarding passes. I picked up my stuff and back in bag. OH had steam coming out of his ears and top of his head but oh well.
Then in the fiasco I left my return tickets lying and also the car park tickets!! can I check on if I get the ref n o off the internet?
Or do the internet cafes have printers?
Nice and relaxed now though!

Not sure if TC charge if you dont have your printed tickets even though they only need the ref number, Internet cafes have printers and should only cost you 1 tl max

I had to go looking for somewhere to print off my FTC confirmation on one trip to the UK. The website clearly states that there is a charge (I think £5 per person?) if you can't produce them. Finding somewhere in a strange city isn't easy but I managed to. When I checked in I handed over a bundle of A4 sheets only to be told "No, just your passport"!!!

There's an internet cafe down by Dawn Beach bar I think and I'm pretty certain they have printers.

Well you should read all posts in a topic to which you decide to reply, perhaps :D

I did and was answering Anne's question. Even so I cannot see any reference to London at all. Maybe you can point it out to me  :)

Time to get ready for the pub me thinks ;-)

Went into the internet cafe, printers yes. tried and tried to get on to BT yahoo to get my emails, no luck.
Tried my hotmail address, no luck. OH tried his email address, no luck.
Came out and the shop next door sold printers, £40. Easiest option so home we went. No USB cable. Back we went for a cable.
Eventually got our return tickets printed.
Reminder to self, don't leave tickets at Glasgow airport.
However a £40 printer may be handy for future use in Fethiye. We didn't have any paper so he gave us a few sheets, enough to be going on with.
