Just been looking on FTC, why on earth are flight prices SO expensive for first week of November?  Around £200/250 single out of DLM[:(!]
Pegasus is only around £116.  Hate FTC

Depends where you are flying to I guess. Just seen this with them - single one way:

Going Out:
Wed 3 Nov 2010
Dalaman (DLM) to Manchester (MAN)
    1 Adult @ €109.75

That's about £92.00 but does not include any 'extras'

FTC will price to make a profit on any route I guess.

Answer is - don't fly with them and they will either make it cheaper or pack in the route. Simples

probably because the half term hols end on 29th / 30th October FTC are making sure they milk the school hols good and proper!in case there are any stragglers that have escaped education for two extra days, I bet the week after the prices are more like £35 to £70!

TC are in the news today as they are to cut staff again due to them having such a bad year. I think the recession plus the ash cloud hit firms harder than we thought.

I think you are correct Stoop.....and not to be paranoid!,  but keep your eyes peeled as bad as it sounds there will be more companies going to the wall I am sure, as personally from my businesses perspective it is evident that this year is hitting harder than last year.

I know there are a few on the 'brink' June. If firms can go bust at the height of the season I'm sure a few more might now that the winter months approach and flights drop off.
