Norman Wisdom died today. Not a great week for stars.
Absolute legend - one of the pioneers. RIP Norman.

Pipped me to the post Scunner.
A cliche I know but none the less true,
they don't make them like that any more.

Got to be one of most natural funny men ever also one of the nicest anyone could ever meet, he did excellent charity work.
Goodbye Pitkin
Mr. Grimsdale

I hope they repeat the Hero's of Comedy biography on him, well worth watching,
he was a genuinely funny man, the pathetic little man who always won through in the end
apparently he was Charlie Chaplins favourite comedian.
Mr Grimsdale, Mr Grimsdale.

Sad loss of a genius, one of my favourite memories is of him and Bruce Forsyth doing a complete sunday night at the london pallidium, seems a lifetime ago now.R.I.P Norman.

RIP Sir Norman, a legend and a true hero, and of course a very funny man, god bless you Sir.
-
saw him a couple of times on stage - so so funny. A very talented and wonderful man. Not many comedians reduce me to tears of laughter these days, but Sir Norman did, time and time again. I also met him once at a Charity event in London - he was such a gentleman, very quiet, unassuming and a real twinkle in his eye. A sad sad day indeed. Sir Norman, thank you.

Just seen this as we are away. Sad loss of a man who madd ne cry with laughter more than once. RIP.

I remember that, it was superb.
The one thing that sticks most in my mind was the bit in 'The Bulldog Breed' when they cut the air hose to the diver's suit and he went off round the harbour like a balloon.
