hi all,
my dad has asked me to find him a nice hotel for next year, preferably in Fethiye and 4/5* standard. Can anyone recommend anywhere?
Thanks
-
Tell him to try the Yacht Classic Hotel in Fethiye http://www.yachtclassichotel.com/
-
I think room wise, the Delta in Calis is a class above.
-
i want to reserve the rooftop suite for our wedding night though, don't fancy sharing the same hotel as my dad.. lol
-
WOW Jacqui!! that place is gorgeous!!! will definately recommend, thanks
-

We stayed in the Yacht Boutique hotel earlier this year as a anniversary treat for a couple of days. Not worth the money, was in a rock hard bed, woke up at 6am both mornings with the staff dragging furniture around on the roof top restaurant above, had to pay extra for juice with the "inclusive" breakfast and we also had the worst meal we ever had in turkey!! See the reviews page here http://www.booking.com/hotel/tr/yacht.html?sid=6690e82b449b620ecb73ff6cc68ebd38;checkin=2010-11-19;checkout=2010-11-20 - I'd try the Delta xx
-
i would say the Delta without a doubt...
You say you dont want to share the same hotel, as you want to stay at the roof top suite on your wedding night, if you haven,t booked yet i would certainly do that as it gets soooooo booked up,
you would not have a problem with our guests there as you can have breakfast brought to your room, and all other food from the restaurant downstairs, and to be honest we stayed there last year for 2 nights and it was fabulous, we only left the roof top suite once for some food, with the facilities on the balcony you dont need to....
-
I would certainly recommend the Ece Saray if he is looking for something very special. Its beautiful.

The Yacht Boutique and the Yacht Classic are not the same place. Last time we ate at the Yacht Classic we were not disappointed the food and service was excellent as always. The hotel is in the most lovely setting and the couple on the next table who had stayed all week said it was one of the nicest Hotels they had stayed in and their room was lovely with a fabulous view. They said they would definitely be back. I know this place gets a good write up on Trip Advisor.

You should have added a review yourself Lesley - the only recent review I could find from a Lesley was a "Lesley - Mature Couple" - definitely not you and Steve then!!!
Back on topic, Pookie is right about the Ece Saray if he really wants Fethiye rather than Calis, very classy indeed. In Calis I'd always say the Delta but if you don't want dear old pops the other side of the wall on your wedding night (and I'm sure he wouldn't like that either!) then for me it would be the Mutlu.

The Ece Saray has excellent reviews on Trip Adviser..if your father wanmts excellence xxbilleigh-joxx he will have it here.
-
The Delta are all booked up!! :(
I will have a look at the others now, thankyou all for your help. :)
-
the Yatch classic are showing no available rooms on their site aswell :( the ece saray has rooms, any others you can think of as i'm looking for somewhere for us now too? i don't want us to be too far from calis as our kids will be staying in calis with my mum for the night...

What about the Nevada Su - it is newly built and has beautiful bedrooms, the pool area is lovely and it has a spa and small inside pool. It is over the river at the back of the Seketur.

Try some of the sites that advertise Hotel Rooms. The Hotel's allocate them a certain number of rooms so you may get lucky. They are usually advertised on Trip Advisor. Companies like Expedia,Bookings.com, Hotels.com. There are quite a lot of them.
You could also try the Letoonia Club across the bay. We have stayed there and it's a lovely place, sure your Pops would love it.
Good luck ;):D

Aye, if he's fit. Sister-in-law stayed there in September and had a helluva "climb" to their room:(
-
We had no bother, some of the bungalows are higher up with steps, but if you are fit there is no problem, we both are regulars at the gym, If you are not fit you ask for a lower level bungalow. However, you don't have to stay in the Bungalows, you can stay in the Hotel. We met a couple from Belfast, and he had just had major heart surgery and they absolutely loved the place.
Lots to do and lovely meals. The beach restaurant where you sit right on the beach with candlelit tables and are serenaded is very romantic. Think Laurie and her intended would love this, great for a honeymoon.
If we did not have our Villa in Calis we would have stayed there again, and it is 5 Star
Take a look at the website then click into "Dining" to see the beach restaurant.

I've booked us a suite at Ece Saray as its only for the one night, Letoonia club looks amazing and would be ideal for a honeymoon but i don't think i'd want to leave after one night..lol. will check out Nevada Su now. thankyou again :)

Anatolian Sky use both Ecesaray and Yacht Classic hotels, and accommodation only can be booked at both. Yacht Classic is exclusive to the UK tour operator market to Anatolian Sky for next year, and the hotel has directed clients to them this year. Both hotels are excellent, and very comfortable, though totally different types of decor. The Ecesaray is more classic in style, the Yacht Classic is more modern. Both hotels have standard rooms, and suites, though the Yacht Classic have some great open air jacuzzi suites with full views over the bay.

If your father is looking for a very good hotel then the last place he may want to be is Calis

Strange you should say that, when no one can get a room in the Delta for love nor money. [?]
They must be doing something right.
It's a shame if you have had a bad experience you should blacken the name of all Calis Hotels:-\
-
Yes I agree, total nonsense and a horribly sweeping blight on many businesses striving to do their very best. The Delta equals *anything* in the Fethiye region, also if BJ's father wants "a very good hotel" there is the Mutlu, Harman, the hugely successful Oykun, the lovely Hotel Club-E and if I could be bothered I could indeed go on, even the budget few quid a night Calis hotels have some real corkers amongst their ranks.
Or have I just "risen to the bait" again? Who cares if I have, a lot of good people do a lot of good work to make a lot of happy holidays, in Calis.
-
My comment was a little tongue in cheek. The point I tried, perhaps clumsily, was that Calis is, and I'm not trying to be insulting, a rather down-market resort compared with many others. Those who want a good hotel usually want a "good" resort too.
But the point made about the Delta hotel being full is well made.
-
Compared to which others? San Tropez? Peurto Banus? Hisaronu?!
I think the opposite to you. People want a good hotel and a "good resort" will find that Calis is very much a "good resort". The question of what makes a good resort is a very large one to tackle, yet one you haven't addressed at all.
