Title: Seeking Car Ferry to Italy (perhaps via Greece)
Post by: Sallyan on November 07, 2010, 17:36:43 PM
Hi Can anyone help me?

After bringing our 2 dogs over we have to take our Mitsubishi Spacewagon out of Turkey by mid Feb.

We dont want to travel via Istanbul and would prefer to travel via Italy (greece if necessary first) but cannot seem to get a reply from any car ferrys as to when the boats are sailing.

I know they are infrequent but we would prefer the van to be out of Turkey sooner rather than later, we were looking at beginning of January?

Does anyone know of any route that we can take?

Many thanks  Sally

Thank you, just been on the site and no sailings on numerous dates.  Will however give them a call tomorrow.  THanks again  Sally

I'm not sure how up to date the info on this site is but it might be worth a look.

Hi we drove back to the UK end August via Greece (Igoumenitsa) to Italy (Brindisi) the company we used were of great help they are  www.Greekferries.gr

our point of contact was Constance Holevas (reservations dept) on 0030 2810 529 022 (Greekferries company on Crete)

When we got to Igoumenitsa it was very easy to find the booking office and their contact details are  Eleni Pantazi Travel  telephone 0030 266 50 26833

For a Toytota est car it cost 35 euros and the aircraft type seats were 48 euros each - although we hardly used them as it was a lovely day and we sat on top deck watching the world and the dolphins go by us.

Hope this helps
