Title: Putting photos on forum
Post by: Old Daffodil on November 21, 2010, 19:32:00 PM: Hi , I have tried to put some photos on the forum but all I managed to do was put on a box wih a red cross in it.
I have them stored in Documents and then my pictures. Any suggestions please?

Post by: Rimms on November 21, 2010, 19:40:19 PM: Try uploading your photos to a site like photobucket or flicker. those sites will give you a link code for displaying content on forums, also use the 'reply to topic' option below when making your reply.

If I have it right Daffodil is worried that if she posts pictures via photobucket then it would be possible for someone, somehow, to access pictures of her grand children.

Daffodil - I don't think that is possible to access a photobucket account from a picture that was posted on here.

Even more it would be totally impossible if you had not down loaded pictures of your grand kids to photobucket.

Post by: Scunner on November 30, 2010, 15:17:27 PM: Ok, the link is in the right place (between the two IMG tags) but it should be longer than that - yours ends with /albums but it should end with something like .jpg or .gif before the 2nd IMG tag. You are pointing to the book not the photo :)

Can you see something that starts with what you put there but is a little longer?

Post by: Scunner on November 30, 2010, 15:38:05 PM: Ok now you are closer, that is the page that the image is on. On that page, right click on the photo and select 'copy image location' or similar, depending on what browser you use. What you copy goes between the image tags, no more, no less - give it a go :)

Just click that area on the Photobucket page and paste it into the CBF reply box, submit, job done :D
