Title: spelling error on booking
Post by: Karennina on December 02, 2010, 12:09:27 PM
I have booked a flight today with Thomas Cook and on checking the booking details once it was all complete I realise I have left off one letter of my surname, will this make any difference at check in or passport do I need to correct it? If you have poor eyesight it is hard to notice! Thanks for any help.

I would send them an email (but be prepared for an admin charge).
You don't want it to be picked up at the airport.

Agreed, it's the small things in life that keep me awake at night and I think this would worry me. I don't like to be worried when I'm heading off for a holiday so I'd contact them. That said, my Turkish residency had my name spelled incorrectly for five years in total. That didn't worry me though - I'd been showing it at Dalaman for about two years before even I noticed :D

I seem to remember it was £ 10.00 Karennina so you may have got a result with the £5.00. Agree with the £ 2.50 rip off.

H it was probably only a fiver as the booking was only for one person if it had been two of us it would have been £10! still it is done now just could not believe I had to pay another credit card charge on top of the original booking, just goes to show they will stop at nothing where charges are involved!
