Sad to see such a great jet mothballed from today. Great invention and
It brought a lump to my throat.:(

I remember sitting in my back garden in Bedfordshire watching the test flights for the Harrier going up and down. It was so strange to see an airoplane behaving like that. My husband was one of the electronics engineers working on it.

My dream has always been to have a flight in one, though I suspect id be ill!

We do a lot of resettlement training for Forces people and have had a lot of guys from RAF Cottesmore recently which is very very sad.

Whilst I was not keen on the noise at take off, the noise of all landing back onboard was much better. 8)
