Shame he wasn't in Calis, Tinx would have arrived on his moped and taken it to the pound!
-
It's easy to get carried away with cats like that.
-
I told him it's a little known fact that if you put your finger on your tongue it stops you yawning.
-
We've all woken up in strange places after a night out

Impressive pussy Linda. However, am I alone in thinking that all you people pictured above must be totally bonkers?
-
Mine was a little smaller - 7 months old:

just fab, didnt really want to go, only went to keep John quiet!
They plonked the baby one in my arms and I filled up with tears, will never forget it
and totally bonkers - well yes, but did do lots of research first to see how many people had been maimed or killed!
Loved Thailand and had an amazing time there.
Stoop - did you go to the elephant camps too?
-
Certainly did, Linda. Looks like we were there just before you in October 2010 but we also went in January that year and January 2010. Wifey needed to see the kids ;) This one was taken January 2009:

Russ did the elephants today I think and it was a full day looking after one - feeding, washing, riding and mucking out (that bit I don't fancy). I bet it was awesome spending a full day with your own jumbo!
-
we did the full day, luckily no poo involved!
heres me having a massage

I would have loved to have been there for a few more days and seen the lantern festival
It all seems so long ago now....
Lucky you having a good excuse to keep visiting

where did you guys do that? that looks awesome. i'd love to do that someday :)
-
Change Mai in Thailand. you would love it.

Its called Tiger Kingdom. Theres also Tiger Temple near Bangkok, but some very bad reviews and reports of them being mistreated and drugged so we wouldnt go there.
At Tiger Kingdom they are hand reared cubs and orpahan tigers. Theres signs everywhere telling the public to report if they see any signs of cruelty and they're definitely not drugged.
John was laying on this tiger 2 minutes before :

oh wow, you guys are so lucky. the only animal i've ever been that close to was 'Charlie' the crocodile in The Gambia. I was only 6 at the time but i'll never forget it. such an amazing feeling being so close to them. i'd love to take my kids there in a few years time when they're old enough to appreciate and remember it :)
-
Definitely, do it, take the kids its amazing
we bought our flights well in advance and got direct ones for £450 each. Once in Thailand it is so cheap,we were spending about £10 a day for 2 of us for lunch and dinner and a beer each by eating at local street stalls.
We even found a fabulous all you can eat, barbecue your own buffet for £2 a head by the river, and even had live entertainment too!
Taxis are typically £2 for a decent length journey, the river boats are a few pence and even seeing tigers and spending a day with elephants isnt expensive.
Overall we spent less than we do in Turkey even taking the flight costs into account.
Still love Turkey the most though!
