on the face of it sounds good but reading between the lines looks like a 90 day account and no guaratees as to what it will fall to after that? sure banker will put me right if this is not the case.

I believe if wife opens orange a/c @ 9.5 % after 90 days I open one,she can transfer to my a/c and we then have another 90 days @ 9.5%
Like you say Andy banker will put us right but he may still be in Istanbul. T..

Hi  :)
This is an amazing acc. and very new. this is a daily interest acc. with 9.5 interest rate overnight. It has many more advantages too. I am in istanbul but please contact me via email for details. I dont want anybody to miss this chance  :)Rate is 9.5 for first 90 days and after this 90 day rate will be 8.5 for overnight.your interest will be paid everyday. for example if you put 100.000 you get 22 TL per day.

i use alperekim@hotmail.com for now

is this a ninety day account as in you put your money away for ninety days and then get the interest?
also you say it will drop to 8.5 after that, is that guaranteed?
Wit said the rate is expected to decline to around 8.5 percent after three months.

I had an apple daily account some years ago with Garanti, and it was only when I tried to make a withdrawal one afternoon that I was informed that my balance was showing 0 funds, when I questioned this I was informed that the bank use the funds to play the markets after a certain time of day :o I closed the account immediately, now I am not saying that this Orange account has the same criteria, as Banker I hope will confirm[?] but beware of banks bearing gifts ;)

this is guaranteed and will be 8.5 after first 90 day. this rate is 9.5 overnight which means you can draw money whenever you want without losing interest. I will be in Fethiye 31.th monday and I can inform at branch  :)

orange account is totally different than apple acc. Apple is a daily bond acc. and has acc. charges but orange is daily interest with no charge. Apple has flexible rate but orange is 9.5 interest per day

sorry Banker but am I being thick?  If I put one hundred thousand into an orange a/c I would receive 22tl per day?  So that would work out around 600tl per month?
Title: Orange account
Post by: banker on January 31, 2011, 09:33:29 AM
yes if you invest 100.000 TL you will get 22 TL per day  :)
and will be 22 X 30 = 660 TL per month
the other good point is this acc. is daily and no charge on this acc. you dont need to wait due date for drawing or investing new.

my thanks to Alper (banker) for helping me to set up my Orange account today .... 9.5% interest for the first  90 day intro rate and then 8.5% after that for the next 90 days is a good deal .. easy to set up, with Alpers help of course,  .. an offer not to be missed.

His forum email address is stuck as his bank email address from his last bank before joining ING - I'm sure he'll see your post here and make contact.

For anyone thinking about opening an Orange account the top amount you can put in has now dropped to half. We had to open 2 seperate accounts and even then only half of what it was 2 weeks ago. Anyone who got in quick was lucky.

98,0000 Lira is the max you can invest now per account if you put in more it reverts back to the normal interest rate. However all you need to do is open more accounts say a joint account and yours and wifes account in seperate names thus you can invest 3x 98,000TL at the 9.5% rate. Simples:D

We were told that you cant do that anymore because. Alper said we could only have one account each now and not as before one each and one joint account. So not so simples.
