Title: Mubarak Goes
Post by: Colwyn on February 11, 2011, 16:29:19 PM
Finally President Mubarak has resigned after clinging on by his fingernails and, last night, making one of the most incompetent political speeches I have ever heard. During transition the High tary Council will rule Egypt. Who rules after that? Another Army nominee, the Muslim Brotherhood, some other democratic force? Interesting times.

Another western backed dictator gone. All the tanks on the streets were american. Tunisa the same. Interesting that America and the UK were all for Mubarak to go. Now they are worried as to what the future holds for the middle east. I bet they will not be very happy if a party with much more Islamic leanings take power.

This change could easily end the peace treaty that has existed between isreal and Eygpt and could ulitmately lead to more Arab isreali conflicts.

How long before they start protesting in Syria and Lybia?

18 days of public protest, a 30-year dictator overthrown and, next morning, out with brooms and black bags to clear up the mess; now that's how to organize a revolution!
