Hello everyone, my name is Dave, I am married with four kids. I have just been over to Turkey for the first time to buy a place for holidays/renting. My brother & his wife accompanied me on the trip & we ended up buying two places between us! one in Tasyaka, & the other near Calis/Gunlukbasi. [both fully mortgaged, I might add].I have just booked flights for the summer hols. & can't wait for my wife & kids to see Turkey, as I have been driving them mad talking about it. Although I have only been there once, it was definitely a lurv thang! & I can't wait to get back there. Needless to say, whilst I was there, I met a certain pair of estate agents, who happen to like a drink or three! they introduced me to the Raki, & I had a few too many! hence the name.

Hi Dave, Welcome to the forum; I must adnit that it didn't take me long to get a taste for Raki!. We have a house in Gunlukbasi about a minutes walk from the sunday market. I think it only needs one visit to realise that Turkey is special.

Thanks for the welcome everyone, don't think I'll be on the Raki again for a while, once bitten twice shy n all that. It certainly tastes better going down than it does coming up! lol
We went to the sunday market during our stay, but as it was during bayram, there wasn't much there, I'm told that it is normally quite busy. I'll give it another try during my next visit.
blindboybanal, I'll keep an eye out for you, do you live there or just holiday there?
