When using skype video calls my mike stays on mute, and I can not deactivate it, any ideas you teki people out there in CBF land driving me up the wall:(

Look in your audio settings when in a call, there are often 2 mics shown & it's a simple option to choose the "other" mic.

Anything more complex than this & I get lost with Skype!

I have the same problem with my Skype settings, ie, it defaults to mike 1 which doesnt work and I have to manually change it to mike 2 whenever I go on - is there a way to set mike 2 as a default?

Try this....Open Skype
Click on tools
Click on Options
Click on Audio Settings
Click on Microphone......You should then have a drop down list.
Ensure you have clicked on the right microphone device eg I am using the mic in my webcam
Tick automatically adjust microphone settings
CLICK SAVE at the bottom of the page important!

No guarantee but it works for me :)

Tried that Brian, but when choosing microphone there is no drop down list just IDT? no other options are available? but thanks for your help I may have to get a teki in, also tried your suggestion Mark, but again no joy but thanks anyway.
