Title: update problems
Post by: Sue T on February 24, 2011, 12:46:51 PM
For the last 2 weeks or so after downloading windows vista updates either automatically or after requesting them, my laptop fails to open properly.  the first time this happened it screwed up Kaspersky and said all my personal profile stuff had been lost.
Deleting and re installing kaspersky and I don't know how many restarts later things came back to normal - it was not a virus (the comp shop fella assured me) and I declined the offer for him to reformat my lap top.
Windows seem to be producing lots of updates and my laptop gets upset each time, but returns to normal relatively easily.
I suspect it is a conflict with kaspersky and windows vista, anyone have any ideas or is it likely to go away in time?

Dump Kaspersky, download & install Microsoft Security Essentials. It`s also free.
