Title: Liverpool v Sparta Prague
Post by: Jacqui Harvey on February 24, 2011, 20:18:44 PM
Well done Liverpool,:D  but these games whoever is playing are ruined for me when they are on "5"  I cannot stand Graham Taylor who is the most miserable commentator ever, what a dreary old git he is.  Next time I think it will be better to turn the sound off as he depresses the hell out of me:(

I don't mind him Jacqui, for me he has a long way to go before he is as boring as some - David Pleat may have brought success to the mighty Luton Town but Jeez what a dull man he is!

Have you tried sound off and Radio 5 on?

Well done Liverpool, but surely they could have given a chance to a reserve striker rather than N gog who seems increasingly lost without his guide dog.

When I was working in Dubai there was a guy 1,000 worse than Taylor or even Pleat on ESPN - he was an Irishman called Tommy Smith (easy name to remember but definitely not that Tommy Smith). The commentators were always American and I think they thought they could use a European English speaker to explain the intricate nature of the sport. It was totally ridiculous, this Tommy Smith must have blagged his way into the job as he knew nothing.

I remember a shot that ended up in row Z. As summarised by football expert 'Tommy Smith'..."He had a good chance to score a goal there, but what happened was that he kicked the ball too high"! It really was that bad.

Leave old Turnip head alone!

Well the result was good, but agreed on Ngog, Poulsen and Lucas were'nt much good either, made up we won,and should'nt really be saying negative stuff, but I was bricking it in the last half hour,YNWA.
