So the Turkish General Election is to be held on 12th June. As a keen observer of the world of politics I'll be taking a particularly keen view of events as we are over in Calis in June. The Present Mrs UsedBustickets, however, is less keen to observe during her valued holiday period, so I may have to observe on some occassions from the pool/bar/sun bed/Lokantasi. 8)
Based on other people's previous experience, what's the thing to be looking out for, and indeed avoiding, during a general election period?

There will be plenty of vans with loud speakers blaring out music and campaigining
On the election day itself no Alcohol can be sold
-
I would suggest buying some DECENT Ear-Defenders, as the bloomin' racket from the continuous convoy of canvassing mini-buses etc., will drive you bonkers!!!! :o ;)
Gordy.
-
And once Erdogan is back in, the exchange rate will plummet.
-
Also as it's a voting day, the sale of alcohol will be prohibited!!!!
-
And locally, man with moustache and grey suit will once again beat the other men with moustaches and grey suits.
-
No alcohol for sale? Supposed to be that way, but, the bars will STILL be selling It!! ;)
Gordy.
