Hi Does anyone know if they run the ferry in April.

According to last weeks Aegean Independent Newspaper yes!  From the 8th April every Tuesday and Friday.  Departs Fethiye at 09.00 (be at the harbour for 08.00), departs Rhodes at 16.30 ( be at the harbour for 16.00).

Different days for the rest of the year through to October.

as Eric says it starts the 8th April ... i had an e-mail from them last week stating the same.

make sure its a good day for sailing, our friends had a horrendous crossing
on the hydrofoil[spell] 4hrs go 41/2 reurn.

We had the same problem and that was August!! 4 hours in a nice calm sea. Never using it again.

I think they use a catamaran now, dont know if this is aswell as or instead of the hydrofoil

Departure Time From Fethiye : 09:00
(Passengers Should Be At Harbour At 08:15)
Arrival To Rhodes                  : 10:30

Departure Time From Rhodes : 16:30
(Passengers Should Be At Harbour At 16:00)
Arrival To Fethiye                   : 18:00

... Journey takes 90 min.

... Ferry & Catamaran will start operating on the second week of April.

... APRIL - from 08.04 every Tuesday and Friday

... MAY - every Tuesday Thursday and Friday

... JUNE - first week 3 days Tuesday Thursday and Friday
After first week 4 days Monday Tuesday Thursday and Friday

... JULY - every Monday Tuesday Thursday and Friday

... AUGUST - every Monday Tuesday Thursday and Friday

... SEPTEMBER - every Monday Tuesday Thursday and Fri day

... OCTOBER - every Tuesday Thursday and Friday

That was the catamaran. Look at the reports for last years trips from Fethiye to Rhodes and back. Hope they have it sorted this year because last year it was a nightmare,

My memories of the hydrofoil were that it was a magnificent day out when things went well but a complete waste of life if it was late arriving in Rhodes, and nearly as bad if it was late getting back to Fethiye. Which seemed to be more and more common as the years went on...

I take it that you can just turn up at the harbour? .. is there a difference in the price? (I haven't done this crossing since 99  :))

ive never just turned up to be honest ... ive always booked at the Yesil Dalyan office by the harbour.

We have always booked with Yesil Dalyan and have been told the boat gets booked up quickly, so I would not chance just turning up Nikkie.
