Could someone direct me to a link or help me with the following question.
Ringing home..I hear it's best to buy a phone card as it's the cheapest method. Should I buy a pay as go sim in Turkey if I want to use my mobile. I hear our normal providers charge fortunes for using mobile phone in Turkey.
Thanks Mike

I never use my UK mobile when in Turkey now - got caught out a few times and paid sky high roaming charges. I don't even answer my English phone if it rings because of the cost. I now get my kids to call me on my Turkish mobile using one of those access numbers. The one I use is: 0871 7727727. Once it connects just put in the full Turkish number starting with 0090 followed by #. It usually costs 7p per minute to a mobile. There is also another access number for landlines and that costs 1.5p per minute.

many people use http://www.bestminutes.co.uk/index2.php
cost 2.5p per min to a Turkish mobile or 1p per min to a Turkish land line, just text them when you want them to call you

I use Skype - you can have it on a mobile phone now. Skype to UK landline if you have credit on your account is .01p - skype to a mobile with skype is free the same as skype to skype on the computer. Skype to mobile without skype is approx .07p a minute.

Thanks for all the help...
