Title: No sound

Before anyone has a go at me i have just had new system windows 7 put on my laptop ,but i have lost my sounds it happened before but i cannot find it on search ,i cant remember how i got it going someone on her  helped me ,all my sliders are on ,all sounds are on i think ,i cant seem to access my p.c.to check any ideas  thanks.:D ;)

At the bottom right-hand corner of your screen should be the speaker icon. If it's got a red circle with a slash through it, your sound has been muted. Click on the icon and then click on the slider to get the sound. cheers.

Do as KKOB says, or right click on the icon and left click "Open volume control", and make sure all sliders are on full and unmuted.

Lance - go to bottom left (start), click, find control panel in the menu that appears, click, find sound, click, check the speakers are ticked and try again. If still a problem do the same again then where the speakers are ticked, click to highlight speakers and choose the 'configure' button further down on the left. This will help you find the problem.

Windows 7 is a pain sometimes...
