Hi all i'm Jan been coming to Calis for the past 6 years using the topics on this forum to find my way about,so about time I introduce myself.I work for the NHS as a special care dental nurse with patients who have medical, learning, dementia, autism, downs, and all sorts of other problems too many to mention,so when I come over it's my respite time to unwind for a few weeks. My dream is to move here when I get my pension if our lovely goverment lets me and stops making changes to public sector workers.Regards to all i'm sure Sir Keith will tell me if i've done this wrong.I can save a life but not use a computer.[:X]

Hi Jan, I work in a medical emergency unit so can empathise with the de-stressing aspect of your visits, hope you continue to enjoy your stays, and welcome to the forum.

Hi Jan, a warm welcome from us as well.
Like you and may others I suspect, stress and strains of work and a tuff economy means that Turkey is a great "bolt hole" in terms of relaxing and getting away from things, all be it for a short time!
We decided to purchase a couple of years ago as then, just as the market was dropping, you would also have a great chance of securing a great deal at the moment!
Good luck with your job and have a great holiday.
p.s, I am a Nurse and Social Worker by profession so, we have some commonality.
Kevin and Karen.

I love it here. Will have to wait for my UK local authority pension for a while yet but decided I'd wait somewhere warm - welcome to the forum :-)

Thank you all so much for your messages. It's not all doom and gloom,I look after patients from the cradle to the grave, the family's young or old are so grateful for all the work we do for them looking after their dental needs even if it's just down to basic tooth brushing, a lot of carers don't like to clean teeth !! and we all know how our own mouths feel in the morning. And then on other hand we have our sad times when we lose a patient, they feel like a member of your own family as I have been with many of them for over 15 years, life deals a cruel hand to some lovely people who have no control over their medical conditions. On a lighter note coming over 8th April for a few weeks not sure how many of you live in calis would be nice to meet up, hope the suns out but no guarantee xx wish we had spell checker on this as i'm rubbish at it missed that lesson at school !!!!
