Looks as though the Turkish government have finally decided that English should be taught by English speakers i.e. Non-Turks. It's about time. Some of the of the so-called teachers of English that we've met in Turkey in the past couldn't string a sentence together in their own language, let-alone English.

So does that mean we will be hearing Whatever/innit/laters/simples and other similar words that have infected our language in recent times being taught now by native teachers[?]:( ;)

Find it quite amusing that they are starting by employing 1,000 English teachers from US- who also don't speak English

Do not the Turkish University courses differentiate between English-English and American-English ?
