Title: Pupppies found on the side of the Denizli Road
Post by: moonfleet on March 25, 2011, 17:28:33 PM
Just finished feeding and bedding down 5 female puppies,Sean, myself, Julie and Aytan found on the road to Denizli. Chucked out of a car at speed.

We must have been quite a picture chasing them to catch them and stopping them from running into the road.

I recon about 5-6 weeks old. Beautiful little scaredy cats of varying colours. Long legs.

I have given them tinned dog food with boiled rice. my neighbour Vivian kindly gave me the tins. My dogs eat dry food so I soaked some in warm water.

They are starving poor little mites.

Just looked in on them in the downstairs loo. Fast asleep with round bellies in one of the baskets lent to them by Bosun and Jasper. Will be a sleepless night for me.

H E L P where to take them

Take them to the animal shelter at the bottom of the Uzumlu road and they will take them in.
Well done on spotting them but it's still unbelievable that people can just dump them when there is somewhere they could have been taken.

Anyone got their telephone number. They don't seem to be open when we drive past during the day

They are fast asleep now with nice round bellies.

Maybe thats why they're not answering the door. They will do when they are hungry and wake up.:D

What a dirty rotten trick, some one wants to throw the owners out of a speeding car. Well done to the rescue team.

Thanks Andy We will take them this afternoon.

I will take  a 15 kg bag of food as a donation as well, I think.

They are so full of character I am sure someone would like one.

I have rang them and tried to explain we will be bringing 5 puppies. My limited Turkish and the gentleman's English I think they understand we are coming in 1 hour.

All delivered. What a beautifully kept place. Very impressive.

Some lovely dogs there, including our 5 girls.

So we drove out having said our goodbyes. Guess what there was a Rotweiler puppy running along the drive towards the main road. No one about, so I picked it up and walked back to the shelter with it.

As it turns out it had been taken from there about 15 minutes earlier by a Turkish man. They were not impressed!

Anyway life back to normal. See you at the quiz tonight at Cadianda II?
