I was having a senior moment the other day and remembered some of the things people brought in to eat at their break which amazed me.
Cheese and jam sandwiches.
Cold fried egg in a roll.
A roll with a scotch pie inside.
Fried egg and raspberry jam sandwiches.
Any other concoctions?

Baked bean toasted sarnie
Cold Chile con Carne sarnie
Ham and pease pudding sarnie (normal to most people but Fi thinks its strange)
Tomato sauce or brown sauce sarnie
And my favourite.......Pork or Beef dripping on toast...mmmmmmmmm
-
My friend loved his cheese on toast, more correctly cheese and marmite and marmalade and curry powder on toast. Even more disgusting, Nikkie (sunnyd) likes to eat piccalilli [xx(]

When I was a kid in Liverpool a conny onny sandwich was very popular (not with me though)
In case you don't know it's a condensed milk sandwich.

People do find it odd that I have toast and marmalade with a good old full english, not before or after one, as part of it - superb :)
-
Salad cream butties....lovely.
I used to be able to buy Lasagne pie (yes lasagne in pastry) in a deli near where I worked.
-
Sugar sandwiches as a kid - along with beef dripping and bread.
