Title: Electricity & Water
Post by: Rayza on April 13, 2011, 21:48:17 PM
I need to register our electric and water meters into our names. Experiencing problems with Nicholas Homes doing this, so as we are over next week I thought we may as well do it ourselves. I have read a few threads on CBF and seems to be pretty straight foward.

Can anyone give directions to the Aydem & Council Offices please.
Is there anything else that we need to take into consideration?
Any advice much appreciated.

Thanks Rayza

The Council office is above the new Migros that was Carrefour. For Aydem depends where you start. From Calis take the Fethiye dolmus via Gunlukbasi & get off at the roundabout by the otogar, take the Antalya turning from the roundabout ie a left turn from where the dolmus came from & it's around 1/2 mile on LHS. If you're in Fethiye take the Patlangic dolmus (pale blue on the front) & ask to be let off at Aydem.

If i remember correctly you have to give them the number stamped on the meter.

What paperwork and i.d. do you need to take, and is there a charge.

Yes there is a charge to put meters into your own names (electric about 99TL - water less, from what I remember)

You need to take with you:-
Passport
Tapu
Tax Number
Abone Number or Tesisat Number - this identifies the electricity/water supply you are taking over(either obtain from the builder or will be on a bill if you have paid one already).

Quite an easy straight forward procedure - Good Luck

Thanks posleeds, I had be told it would be '400 Tl tops' by a chancer. Do you need the Turkish interpretation of your passport.

No, just your original or even a copy will do....no need for it translating.

Thanks to all for your advice about changing electricity & water meters into your own name.

All very straight forward, done and dusted this week. One piece of advice, the Aydem office closes for lunch 12-1.

Hi Rayza.

We are also on a Nicholas complex and they will not help with this at all. Did you need a past bll or anything other than the meter number? If so, how did you get it?

Thanks, Megan

Hi Megan

As you may be aware Nicholas Homes (NH) are now saying That Nicholas Group Property Services (NGPS) are responsible for all electricity and water bill payments if you have an agreement with them. You will get very little help from NH as they are stating they are not associated NGPS.

My advice is the sooner that you can get your electricity and water bills into your own name the better.

If you drop me a personal message with some contact details, we can discuss further.

Rayza.
