Can anyone please advise.
We are now renting long term in Calis from an English owner, who is in England. Our RP's are due for renewal in August of this year. We have drafted a rental agreement in both English and Turkish, which we intend to post to the owner for signature and return.
My question is - does the agreement HAVE to be witnessed or Notarised for us to use it to obtain our RP renewals?
It would be impossible for anyone to witness both signatures as we are in Turkey permanently and the owner is in the UK permanently. Has anyone else used an unwitnessed/un-notorised rental agreement to obtain their RP?
If a Noterised agreement is required, would a Noter stamp a pre-signed agreement without the owner/landlord being present?

The very short answer is................No.

Thanks KKOB, I assume that is a "NO it doesn't need to be witnessed or Noterised"

Correct.
You can buy pro-forma rental agreements for a few TL in most stationery shops in Fethiye.

Thank you very much for that info KKOB. It's good to know about the pro-forma agreements, might get one just to compare it with the draft one. Thanks again for answering my query, I didn't want to be told "problem" when we come to do the RP's.
