Not sure of spelling sorry but there is a new restaurant opened called sampinon ?opp yakamos ,biggest restaurant group in turkey they are  tripe restaurants has anyone tried it yet . ;)

the restaurant is kokorec which is lamb intestines not tripe

Urgh...that sounds even worse.
I always remember when I was a kid, my Nanna taking me to Pudsey Park in Leeds - she would sit & eat a bag of tripe & vinegar fresh from the butchers whilst I played...traumatised me for life  :o
Never had either...but would try if disguised...(the food...not me) :P

I love the Kokorec and Iskembe (tripe) soup is my favourite! I wll be trying the new place very soon, have been too busy to eat out recently

Always remember when I was little an auntie of mine once asked me if I liked tripe and would I like some.  Obviously I wasn't listening properly and though she said trifle so said 'ooh yes please!'

She then presented me with a plate of tripe covered in vinegar - yuck!!
Couldn't eat any of it (after a small mouthful) and have never tried it since. the thought of it makes me feel ill!!  [xx(]
