First picture is our house! Fifth picture is taken from our balcony and both taken by me and stolen from wherever they are posted. Not only that they have watermarked them as their own.
Oh .. and the sunset picture is mine as well.
All nicked off facebook by one of my 'friends' I think.
I think I will watermark my pictures in future :)
Thing is - if he'd asked I would have said yes.
-
Copyright laws are worldwide,if you took the picture and can prove that you did, then you own the copyright. .... I would be firing off a threat to sue them ASAP, Now that could frighten them.
-
Nicholas Homes used to bring me new project brochures with photos of Calis taken by me!
-
Not too bothered about the use of them as it is a neighbour - it seems. However it would be nice to be asked and NOT to have THEIR watermark on my pictures.
-
Would that friend be the same person that has it up for rent and is seen in one of the pictures ?
cheeky git his inside doesnt look a bit like yours. We must have all been there when the were taken or you were using mine as there is washing on our terrace

Stoop I know how this sort of thing grates. Some years back a 'rival' company in telecoms nicked our specialist training manual, and associated collateral. We knew it was ours, even included our spelling mistakes! A stern letter from m'learned friend stopped it's continued use, but by the then it was too late. I can't name the company copncerned, but they're now one of the UK's biggest telecom companies. And as you can sense it still grates today[:(!]

Any photo put on Sahibinden is automatically watermarked.
If you don't want anyone taking your articles or photos then don't put them on the web.
Simples!!!!

Loz,
Not quite right IMO. Nobody has the right to take any of my pictures or your pictures no matter where they are posted.
As I said - if the guy had asked then I would have said 'OK' but to be honest the first picture, which is our place, gives a very false impression of the actual rental property.
As for the water marking. I think they have a cheak putting that on a picture that is not theirs. A bit like me adding my name to a Picasso.

It happens to me all the time. Pictures from my website get taken and also description of goods. I found a knowledge base website telling people "The search is over" They had taken an image from my website and the full description of the item, without my permission. http://governmentauctionsuk.com/knowledgebase/questions/666/Wemyss+Ware The goblet on this website was mine (sold now) taken from my website will the full description. I did add a note at the bottom of the page, but it seems to have gone unanswered.

I know it's frowned upon on ebay. If someone uses your photo or despription you can ask them to delete it.
-
I notice that there is a watermark on them. Perhaps the person copied and then watermarked as thier own? Oops!!
-
Sorry, I left the message without reading the other answers.
-
The site is similar to Ebay, and it is the site that watermarks the photos automatically when they are uploaded to the website. The person who nicked them didn't watermark them.
-
I've had a reply from them thanking me for my interest in the property!
At least I think that's what it says :)
-
The funny thing is they will think they have had alot of interest in the property and its us lot just being nosey lol
