Title: Man Utd v Schalke
Post by: tel on April 26, 2011, 21:33:39 PM
Man Utd totally dominated the away leg and the only surprise is that they didn't convert that dominance into more goals. Well played Utd,one of the most one sided games I've seen for a long time.2-0 didnt do them justice

My question is how did Schalke get so far? I mean this mnau team are hardly the best ever (in manu terms)and yet they made Schalke look like idiots.

Totally agree Stoop.  I was saying exactly the same thing tonight.  What a load of pants Schalke are.
Nice to see Raul again, always did like him, but he is now passed his best.

Have to agree with that Stu ;)

Also agree with other comments, how the hell did Schalke manage to beat Inter[?]

The match and result only goes to show that Ferguson was talking his usual pre match nonsense about how much he feared Schalke.  Yer like he'd much rather be playing at this stage Barcelona or Real.  We may look green Alex, but we're not all cabbages:D

I did think Shalke weren't great but isn't it funny how when Barcelona tear sides open and totally dominate them it is football played at it's best - but when Man U do it, the opposition must be rubbish.

Some will say that "you can only beat what's in front of you", but perhaps Man U made Schalke look ordinary.

If Fergie syas it was one of the best Man U performance, then you know how good it was.

Let's face it - Schalke were rubbish... and this manu team is not one of the best they have had in recent years - by a long way.

Yes you can only beat what they put in front of you but the fact Giggs ran the show just shows how poor the Germans were as he is one of the easiest players to mark out of a game - just keep him on his right foot and he's sorted  :)
