My recollection on the short hop journies between Istanbul-Dalaman was that it was not too bad, although I haven't done a longer flight to/from the UK with them.  Certainly better than the Fly Thomas Crook flights on the longer journey from Gatwick to Dalaman, but that's not setting the bar too high for Pegasus!

But perhaps I'm the wrong person to ask, as my choice of airlines - so the Present Mrs Tickets keeps reminding me - is soley driven by my keen sense of money meaness, which tends to keep me flying with TC.  Leaving me with more Efes Vouchers to redeem when I arrive ;)

Leg room is OK, no better or worse than most, but they are very strict on baggage allowances, both checked in & hand luggage, so best not to push it

I found the leg room is much better than most, it was the first flight in ages where i didn't have my knees round my ears for 4+ hours and i'm 6' 2".

flew with them for 1st time last August and thought they were great no messing about just took straight off, on the other hand I recall several other members saying they had problems last year flight cancellations and no notice of the cancellation so may need to be aware there could be potential problems, is this the same as any other budget airline tho :)

I have used them many times, a direct flight cancelled last year but given the option of via Istanbul. Other than that time, have always found the seating more comfortable, good time keeping, no charge for luggage or card payments and much prefer them to FTC and Onur Air.

We asked for seats with extra legroom when we checked-in at Stansted with them, and were given them with no extra charge. :)

They charge 5 TL per kg. for extra weight. It is 3 TL if you buy extra weights on internet.

Just a little tip when booking on line with pegasus if you use the currency option in the top right hand corner book in ytl (ie extras, food ,leg room) then convert the total back to pounds at the end (total amount) you will find it a bit cheaper, here is a link for some domestic flights, 30 ytl to go and see Turkey, can not be bad.  http://duyuru.flypgs.com/imajlar/images_2011_05_12/pgs2.html

Last year when we flew from Manchester we were charged for excess baggage over 20 kg. When we did booked our flights the allowance was 25 kg.  We had no proof of the 25kg allowance though so had to stump up.  However, when we read the small print in the Pegasus in-flight magazine it clearly stated that the luggage allowance for UK flights was 25kg plus 5 kg for hand luggage.  I duly sent all the paperwork and receipts for the amount paid to their office in Istanbul, showing that we had been overcharged.  Of course I heard zilch from them.  I didn't expect I would hear anything to be honest. We might have had recourse if they had an office in the UK. It was annoying to say the least that we had to pay for an extra 10 kg (5kg on each case).

UK TEL number for Pegasus Patti, 0870 000 2468 but as far as I am aware the Ex bag charge has nothing to do with the actual carrier, its the airport authority ie BAA that make the charge and keep the money? when ever I have been over you go and pay elsewhere and show the check in person the receipt and they give you your BP and off you go?
