I am intrigued by a few of your names, e.g usedbustickets!!! I'd love to know the origin of some of them if you'd care to share.
Mine is blagged from my late father-in-law who was called Toky after a well known footballer many years ago.
-
There was a thread of this ilk a few years ago Rosemary.
I've did a quick search but can't find it. Perhaps it's been archived.
Me, being new to forums I didn't think to have a name other than my own:P
-
I can't find it either now.
Mine comes from my surname (Campbell) and the popular (at the time I got it) kid's TV show Supergran. Supergran's "arch enemy" was The Scunner Campbell and my friends thought it such a wheeze to give me the name. My friends from that time still call me Scunner. If they call me Keith, I know something serious has happened or they want to borrow something ;)
Usedbustickets will be interesting; personally I wonder about many user names on here, none more so than Slartibartfast :D
-
Mine is very boring really. Mr Pookie was born and bred in Rhodesia (not Zimbabwe ;)), and the day I met him he started calling me Pookie. I have been Pookie ever since and am now known by no other name ! A pookie is an african bush baby that has enormous eyes (I'm told they are adorable ;):D)

Piscoe comes from the word Pisco which just so happens to be the national drink of Peru where we lived for 3 years. The E was added for a very good reason but I just can't remember what it was:D
-
Maybe you were a big fan of the athlete Alan Piscoe

Mine is blagged from my late father-in-law who was called Toky after a well known footballer many years ago.
Its derived from a saying often used by my old dad - bless him - to denegrate any person who was annoying him, for example a footballer not performing well, or someone who was a pop star or TV celebrity who was generally getting up his nose. The old man would say "Look at that prat [sportsman/celebrity's name]... he's as much king use as a set of usedbustickets":D:D
-
Mine is the first three letters of my surname & my home city in the UK - not very original I'm afraid!
-
Mine was given to me as a password when I joined work.
-
I'll sleep better tonight usedbusticket and all, for the information. LOL
:D

If your looking to use my old man's delightful, and indeed useful, description yourself, please feel free as I am sure he would chuckle knowing that others were using it. He had another version which went "Look at that prat [sportsman/celebrity's name]... I wouldn't pay him in usedbustickets"
-
Your dad might be wrong, if enough were given in payment :D
