Hi All,

Does anyone have information regarding sim cards.

As using your uk contract sim card can be expensive, would it be better to buy and use a turkish sim card for local and international calls.

Please could someone give any further advise[?]

Doug,
You will find the sim card topic pretty well covered if you do a search - but basically the UK mobile system (o2 in particular)is the usual rip-off.

Buy a local sim card and use it when in Turkey (as we have done) - if you return to UK for extended periods you can leave the card with a local colleague to keep it 'alive' for you
