Last time we came over it cost me £200.00 to use my iphone as I checked my emails etc.,
Can anyone tell me how to turn off the service, so I can just use it in cafes etc., that have WIFI connection for customers[?]
Thanks:D

Hi Jacqui
In settings choose general then network. Enable 3G turn to off. Data Roaming to off.
It may be paranoia but I also turn off notifications, and location services (these are both on the main settings page).

Try this Jacqui
Settings>General>Network> Data roaming on/off

Jacqui, seeing you are a frequent visitor, can you not get a Turkish sim card, or does that not work in your iphone?
:)

Hi Toky, I have absolutely no idea if I could get a Turkish Sim Card. My husband bought me the Iphone last September. I don't use it that much. I tend to use my computer all the time particularly for business. However, I like to keep in touch when I am on holiday, which is why Phil bought me the Iphone. Wonder how easy it would be to do? Really don't want to mess up my U.K. Account for the Iphone.

Who are you with Jacqui - I mean your mobile provider in the UK.
-
If you have an unlocked iphone you can put any sim card in it. However if it's an iphone 4 you will need a mini sim not a full size one.

I am with Vodaphone and it is an iphone 4

Well the 4 has a mini sim which I'm sure you will be able to get in Fethiye but I'm not sure. If it was bought direct from Apple it will be unlocked and you will be able to put any service provider into the phone but it has to be on a mini sim.
The other option is to buy a sim cutter on ebay - they are pretty cheap and you just place a full size sim into it and it cuts the middle bit out for you - making it a mini sim. Maybe a shop would do that anyway?
