Title: Water pressure in calis Area
Post by: usedbustickets on June 01, 2011, 20:40:54 PM
The hot and cold water pressure - from the solar system and mains - in our place in calis, when compared to our old place in Ovacik, is not very good. Consequently the showers (on the first and second floor)are very weak, which is proving to be a bit of problem.

What I want to know is there a problem with our solar and water sytems in the house, or is there a general water pressure problem in the Calis area?

Either way does anyone have any suggestions what might be causing the problem, and how I might solve it.

Thanks in advance

We don't normally have any problems - pressure fine, though had Diddly Squat 2 days ago - assumed Fethiye Feski were working on it?

We had a pressure reducer fitted because we kept getting pipes blowing off. It was that high.....

We dont have a problem, we are also using pressure reducer.
Hot water pressure may be low, because of solar system. Make sure that it is using city network pressure, not the pressure of tank's being higher than taps. But your problem seems different, as you have cold water pressure problem as well.
Best way is to make a plumber to check.

Thanks everyone, I am out in Calis tomorrow and if there is no improvement I'm taking Cenk's advice and calling on the services of a plumber.

Ali Bozkurt advised us that the water pressure where we lived was too high and could cause a big problem. He advised getting it sorted. I took his advice. Well you have to, he's a famous plumber...

Well it turns out that the problem was due to the house having an 'old' two tank solar system, which has now been replaced by a single pressurised system - same as we had in Ovacik - and bob's your uncle (and charlie's you aunt) and we have fantastic hot and cold water right thoughout the house - perfick [^]  Thanks Bayram.

The detail on the advantages of the single pressurised tank are discussed in more detail elsewhere on the forum http://{A Link to an old CBF topic was here - no longer available}38160&SearchTerms=water,solar

Hi Cenk.  Can you give us an idea of the cost of presumably removing the old two tank system and putting up the one tank system.

Sorry Cenk, this request was aimed at UsedBusTicket and not you.
