Title: Thomas Cook API Problem

Have booked a flight with Thomas Cook,i have tried putting the API in but the page isnt coming up.The extras page keeps coming up instead i.e choose your seats ect.Have tried every link with no success.Anyone else had this problem. Thanks.

Have you left it at least 48 hours after making your booking? For some reason you can't enter API until at least 48 hours has elapsed

Just done mine this morning and had the same trouble, I pasted the link into a new page and it was fine

Had exactly this problem 6 weeks ago. Phoned the customer service place and got a message saying that if we were having problems with API, don't worry: they would do all necessary at the airport. Had no problems flying and no further mention of API at the check-in desk. Our daughter flew a month later with no problems with API online.

Hi Joan, we did exactly the same as TheBruces post above in phoning customer service and getting the same message.  We had no problems at the airport either and no mention of API.

I never fill it in with TC or Thomsons and nothing happens

Is it the case that if you don't fill it in online, then it has to be done by the check-in people and that is why some people seem to get through check-in quicker than others.

If so it would surely be better to fill it in online.

I have never filled one in either, as most flights I book are last minute.
Most UK airports use the passport scanning system to input the API so it only takes seconds, and everyones passport is checked before flying.
Also I wonder has anyone been asked at check-in if they have already done an API, I know I've never been asked.

Tried doing it before 48 hours had elapsed after booking the holiday(oddly enough the best price for a Thomas Cook holiday on the day was with Holiday Hypermarket aka Thomson).Tried API after 48 hours-no problem.
