may move over to Calis for a while. We have a place but looking at semi retirement. Can dogs be walked on the beach at calis.
-
Yes you see lots of dogs on the beach not sure if there are any laws relating to dogs on the beach but if there are it is'nt very strict
-
Don't forget that if you're thinking of bringing a dog over from the UK it'll have to be quarantined for 6 months somewhere before returning to the UK.
-
And the beach is full of street dogs anyway. but they usually very placid if there isnt a bitch on heat about [8)]

Please take plastic bags with you for their 'poop' :)

Thanks for your help. Thanks about info.. on quarantine.. I had read this somewhere. Our plan is to try living out there for twelve months based in Calis to see if we fancy it on a permenant basis.

Will do with the plastic bags...I bought 1000's of them from a pound shop once. I think I've cornered the market in them..

Don't forget Turkish law says all dogs on a lead in public places also.

Our dog is going to have the best time swimming in the sea as it sounds like dogs are no longer banned from the beach for 6 months of the year :)

Just one question Jan, what would you do if after its doggie swim it came out and crapped on the beach?
-
I would use one of the plastic bags I always carry to scoop it up. What would you do Des?

exactly the same Jan,although i dont agree with dogs on the beach, just wanted to see if you were a responsible owner or one of the owners i refered to in earlier post. [^]

I understand where you're coming from Des but in this heat our dog loves a good swim. In previous years we weren't allowed to take him on the beach between May and September. I can't abide folk who don't clean up their pets crap either by the way:(
