Just had to arrange a last minute flight back to the UK for Saturday.  For the privilage of doing this TC have charged me an extra £15.00 despite the fact it is a purely automated computer service.  Then to rub salt into the wound even though it was not required a meal is Mandatory and cannot be cancelled as the flight is so imminent:-\

You just can't beat the big guys. You get less and less choices, nore and more costs and taxes and we have to take it or leave it! Need more competition methinks.

We had a similar thing with BMI Baby last October. Seems that you cannot check in on line with them so they charge you extra for the only option they offer - checking in at the airport. Then when you get in the queue you have to check in yourself via a computer screen and they employ a person to stand there and tell people they have to do so before they go to the counter. Chaos - with the older/non computer literate people not having a clue what to do and people like me moaning that they could have done this on line from the comfort of their own home.

Brian - they must have been trying to catch you out for a long time  :)

Never mind it will be a long time before they get you again!!  ;)

Yes Ian....all fine thank you and likewise with you. Would not normally make such a last minute plan but was helping someone out who had got one of those unexpected dilemmas that crop up in our lives :)

I found a website called fly.com which directed me to jet2.com. The flight came up as a single flight from Dalaman to Manchester price was 117 pounds. I then went back to correct the problem to 2 people. The price per person then came up as 137 pounds. I tried again and for 1 person and again 117 pounds. There is a facility on there to book seats. 3.50 each. so i booked 2 seats seperately next to each other for 117 pounds each. Yeah. Got one over on them at last. saved 40 pounds.
