Post by: tinkerman on July 01, 2011, 11:52:59 AM: Animal Aid are alive and kicking during July 8), here are some dates for your diary.

Wednesday 6th july - table Top sale Fethiye market 430 Lira raised:D

Friday 8th July - Table Top sale at Pastries and Pies commencing at 11am come along and support your local animal charity, we have a selection of summer clothes , books and bric a brac :)
also a chance to taste some great food:P
805 Lira raised:D

Sunday 10th July - Wine and Cheese Tasting Party at Bostans[:o)]
Why is it party? cos it's Carols Birthday!!!
A selection of fine wines from the Berefte region of Turkey plus local cheeses to sample, this event will be 5 lira per head.
Table bookings asap please ;) Full Menu available.525 lira raised:D

Thursday 21st July - Table Top sale at Bostans commencing 11am
Summer clothes, Books and Bric a brac,
Don't forget to stop for lunch:P395 Lira raised:D

Friday 22nd July - Grand Quiz and Auction at Fire and Wine restaurantcommencing at 6.30pm. great quiz night with good prizes also a Super Auction of Lots inc. Jeep Safari for 4: :), Turkish Breakfast for 4 at Kargi:P, Kings Garden Sunday Roast for 4:P, 2kgs of homemade sausages from Kargi, Fish and Chip dinner for 4 at Zakkum:P
there will also be a buffet available on the night, the quiz is 5 lira per person and 4 members per team. bookings through me asap please. 850 Lira raised:D

Friday 29th July - Fish, Chips and Wii Night:P:D at Bostans, we now have two balance boards so more games available[:o)] :-\

There is no entry fee for this one and a great menu to choose from:P

it's not easy you know:D ;)

Post by: tinkerman on July 11, 2011, 07:50:47 AM: What a great night last night, well done to all who braved the heat and supported us! 8) we managed to raise 525 Lira:D so a great result plus the wine orders are coming in already :)

That equates to 1760 Lira raised this week:D and we have three more funtions to go this month ;)

But for you Animal Aid guys and Gals that spend your own time at these organised events soley raising money for the sanctuary that depends on you to stay open....I stand up and Applaud you........

Andy..late reply I know but yes we miss the Pookies again....we arrive pm on 20th August......!!!

It wont be enough stuff to warrant a collection but am determined to get rid of a few bits at least :)and thus this will make room for all my new summer stuff that I am bringing:D

Thank you to all who turned up and supported us hope the people who bid on the donated prizes enjoy them, we are off on a Jeep safari 8) 8) 8) 8)

Keep checking on what you are all up to with raising money for the animals and we are looking forward to getting involved when we move over in Feb next year. The boat trips sounds great - hope I can have an input next year. Well done to you all
