Title: The Scum of the Earth
Post by: Scunner on July 06, 2011, 18:07:24 PM
Glenn Mulcaire, the private investigator who was convicted and jailed for hacking into the phones of members of the Royal household, and is now accused by some of hacking the phone of murdered teenager Millie Dowler, has asked the press to respect his family's privacy.

The truth on all the hacking that was done is just coming out and News International should be shut down. Hacking the families of soldiers killed in Afghanistan, the 7/7 families, Millie Dowler and all the other cases is really sick and needs to be properly punished.

Anyone who has doubts that Rupert Murdoch and his News International are "fit and proper" to take over an even bigger chunk of the UK media might cosider signing this petition or finding their own form of words if they prefer. The public consultation process on the Sky takeover closes tomorrow.

I am appalled, disgusted and sickened by these latest revelations about the phone hacking scandal.  Can there be anymore to come out?!

I got an email yesterday about regarding the petition that Colwyn mentions above and signed straight away.  Please have a look at it and, as he says, consider signing too.  It needs as many people as possible to be heard!

Not forgetting of course that it helps a great deal when you work for the Reptile King Murdoch if you are an unprincipled sh*t.  All these problems emminate from the top, through either expressed or implied instructions given directly or indirectly through the appoinment of even bigger unprincipled sh*ts from his own family or the likes of Wade/Brooks or Rees Mogg. All underpinned by a culture of ignorance and arrogance that goes with a Masters of the Universe view that employees of News International take, remember Gray and Keys recently?

Murdoch has got away with an monopolistic economic and personal abuse of power for years through weak politicans, the mildest of regulation and control, and of course the silly sods who buy his rags (and i should plead guilty here cos I take the football, but Murdoch has ensured I cannot in the UK get it from anyone else!!).

This is nothing new to me I've been arguing against Murdoch from when he acquired the Times and Sunday Times; through the NI Wapping dispute; the crooked acquisition of the Premiership football rights over ITV, worked in conjunction with that other sh*t Alan Sugar.  And if this lot had not blown up I'm sure the nod through by Cameron's government to enable him to acquire all of Sky.

I could go on and on, and perhaps things are turning at last against the control Murdoch has in the UK - as he does across the world - but I would ask people that when they point the finger at individuals on all these terrible things, they do not forget who the puppet master is.  I thank you for your indulgence, in letting me get this off my chest.[^]

In addition to the petition highlighted above by Colwyn, there is also another national petition by 38 Degrees on this subject, which I would also urge people to sign and it can be found at http://www.38degrees.org.uk/page/s/murdoch-deal-petition#petition

Anyone who hired this/these people to do this despicable deed should be prosecuted.
The Newspaper people who bribed the police and the police should be prosecuted.
Murdoch should be banned from owning any Business In the United kingdom.
If we were found trying to bribe the police we would be jailed.

The list of major advertisers who have pulled their planned business with the NoW is impressive and increasing. Major respect to Mitsubushi...

"We didn't want to have anything to do with a paper that would behave in that way." The firm will give its unspent money to charity ChildLine.

Fantastic stuff, a tiny silver lining appearing from a huge dirty cloud.

Over 135.000 have signed the Avaaz petition and now Jeremy Hunt is expected to have to delay the Sky takeover decision until September (Parliament breaks up on July 20th). People still have until tomorrow to sign the petition and increase the protest.
