Title: Money exchange
Post by: mike77777777 on July 24, 2011, 16:14:17 PM
I have a bank account with HSBC Calis and am going to set one up with ING who seem to offer higher interest rates at the moment. I am looking to transfer 20,000 gbp to a Tlr account as soon as I set up my account with ING.
What is the best and least costly way to do this.

thanks Mike

Not sure on the answer Mike but what a time to be changing money - 2.77 lira for each pound. Your timing is excellent  :)

The safest way, but not neccessarily the cheapest way, is to use SWIFT.

The international banking transfer system, not the bird.

Try this Company who my husband has hooked up with http://www.ukforex.co.uk/promo/index-generic-uk.html?gclid=CLv--bXjyKgCFUEb4QodIBsEqg
He reckons this is a really good way to transfer money.  He has used the SWIFT method, but there are costs involved.
