I placed an order for an item from the USA, it was picked up by the cargo company at 4:30pm on the 20th July, with an estimated delivery of 8pm 28 July. It arrived at 1130am today, approx four and a half days. What great service, you can tell the Royal Mail wasn't involved. I posted a letter to the tax man in the UK over 3 weeks ago, still no acknowledgment they have received it.

I get stuff sent from UK via Royal mails International Signed for service - 6 pounds odd for upto 500gr. All turned up so far and also 4-5 days delivery time. I am also thinking of ordering some brewing items from the states too as i have a friend in Cyprus who has done so without problems.
