UK economic growth in the last quarter has been a dismal 0.2%. Apparently, according to George Osborne, one of the reasons for this is the Royals' decision to hold a wedding on weekday thus crippling our economy. So nothing to do with his economically illiterate policies then. Fine.
Is this man simply a twerp, or is he an arrogant sod who thinks the rest of us are twerps ............. or both?

Probably all 3...or 2.....or?????? I would make a good Chancellor:D: :) ;)

I'm sure that when the wedding date was announced, it was reported that it would be a much needed boost for the economy too...

Colwyn, you and I are poles apart when it comes to political views but I must say that I totally agree with you on this. The Uk is supposed to be on its knees and what does the government do but declare a holiday for a wedding. They have also announced an extra holiday for the jubilee next year. All the idiots need to do is work out the cost of the loss of one day to the economy.
-
it was not the one day that did the damage it was the spacing with bank holidays a lot of people took ten days of in a row but only using 5 days holiday

Fair point I think steveb1.
