Title: Wacky baccy farm found in Calis.
Post by: geordieboy on August 06, 2011, 11:15:04 AM: Anybody got any info as to the "cannabis farm",as reported in the latest edition of the LOL,page 4.
Apparently 2,330 cannabis plants were discovered in an empty lot in the backyard of a hotel close to the beach.
The plants were uprooted and burnt by the authorities.
So thats why all those people were wandering around in Calis the other day with a happy grin on their face,all spaced out. :)

Post by: johntaylor49 on August 06, 2011, 11:30:33 AM: No but I will share something with you, many years ago I was living and working in Iran. My neighbour liked the big pointy leaf green marijuana weed and had a huge one growing in the window of the Lounge in his Bungalow.

His mother came to visit for a few weeks, and, you can imagine our amusement when she arrived and her first reaction on seeing it was "Oh Honey, what a beautiful POT plant!"

------------we never told her!:D

Post by: loz on August 06, 2011, 12:20:41 PM: I have not heard of the Calis baccy farm, but, we did see loads growing wild on a walk to the ruins of xanthos.

18-20 year ago Gordon's mum came from Scotland to south to stay with family, on visiting her one day we commented on how tired she was looking, she told us she wasn't sleeping to well; "whys that?" we asked, she related that she was sleeping in the eldest sons room and had told her to keep the light switched on because of a delicate plant he was growing, we asked to see the room and it was hard to keep a straight face. We had words with the lad and Mum eventually came to us. you could say out of the frying pan into the fire!:D: :) ;)[:o)]

Post by: kevman on August 07, 2011, 07:41:59 AM: When we came to Fethiye 5yrs ago, our neighbours had a lot of plants on there patio covered by a net curtain suspended over them. We watched them 'lovingly'tend them.It wasn't until the police raid that we realised what was going on!!

When we were over in May/June this year there is a particular place on the one way street just near the entrance to Paspatur by the kebab place we could smell pot there quite often. I remember remarking it was getting just like Amsterdam.
