Now that Aegean has gone and airlines like Easyjet dont start until May, which companies fly from Manchester to Dalaman in March?
-
I've just checked on Monarch and it seems that they start on 26th March 2012.
-
Easyjet fly from Manchester twice a week (Tues+Sat) from 27th March and throughout April.
-
Thomas Cook start on 29th March. Maybe TK are your only other option before that date. Unless you fly to Antalya with either Thomas Cook or Thomson, who both operate earlier in March.

Thanks all
Damm, I wanted to go around March 1st
It's like the old days

Last winter the cheaper options were either Manchester to Antalya or via Istanbul from either Stansted (with Pegasus) or Luton (Easyjet). I tried all 3 at different times & on balance preferred the Antalya trip.
Turkish Airlines did not have connecting flights from Manchester most of the time to Dalaman & were the most expensive option before adding in hotel stays in both directions & transport to / from the airport.

I have the same problem as i tend to go out of season as i rent my apartment in the summer,I can only find Pegasus that go from Stansted via Istanbul to Dalaman I used them last year was a long day but when you have no option what else can you do.Maybe some other airlines will look at this route because the demand is there. There are so many Brits that own property in Turkey that don't only want to go in the summer but all year.

If it is like this year I dont think that Dalaman is open for International flights till the end of March

We used Antalya airport a few times in the winter, think it was Thomson.

I am not sure which way we will go. The Turkish airline flight from Manchester looks OK but I think it will involve an overnight stay in Istanbul. I have done the Antalya flight many years ago but found the 4 hour drive across the mountains a real chore. But it seems I have no other alternatives. Thanks all for your help.

I did Antalya last winter - going it wasn't so bad just a very long day but coming back my flight got in too late to get the last bus to Fethiye - I decided it was a good excuse to spend a couple of nights in Antalya - booked a 5* all inclusive at a very cheap rate in December - and used A2B for the transfer from the Aiport to the hotel. Just got the local dolmus to the Otogar when we were due to come hom and had spent a relaxing morning in the pool and sauna before we did the 4 hour journey. Lovely and relaxing :-)

I just noticed that the Turkish airlines flight from Manchester has a connecting flight down to Dalaman and so no need to book into a hotel. Your idea also sounds nice Sandy, we did something similar 10 years ago when we went in November to buy the house and we booked into the Deadaman Resort (I think it was called) in Antalya. The only problem was that we hated the place and we also did not particularly like Antalya and we found it vey unfriendly which is out of character for Turkey.
It looks like its Turkish airlines for us.

George if you are quick you can book with BA from Manchester on 1 March (goes interconnecting via Heathrow) to Istanbul for £110 each. It leaves at 07.10 arrives Istanbul at 15.35. You can then catch the eveningTurkish Airlines flight down to Dalaman which goes at 18.50 and works out about £40 each - not bad £150 each for that time of the year. Hope to see you soon.

The trip to Antalya only takes about 2-21/2 hours now as there is a new road in part and a lot of the road has also been widened
