Title: Flight in February ?
Post by: mike77777777 on August 10, 2011, 17:48:16 PM
I noticed through other threads that flying to Dalaman in the winter period is not straight forward. Can anyone help?
I am looking for a carrier to fly from Gatwick or any Southern based airport to travel to Dalaman with our dog in January/February 2012...

Thanks  8)

Mike there are weekly flights to Antalya in the winter, or flightss from London to Istanbul then connecting flights too Dalaman, the trip from Antalya would be easiest with dogs only 2 1/2 hours drive.

that does sound like the best idea. Do you know which airlines these are and wether they take dogs. I believe Thompsons take dogs so that would be ok...

Hi Mike - Thomsons do transport animals but only on certain flights - they go in a special part of the hold away from the baggage that isn't as cold or noisy.  You neeed to talk to the Animal Transport lady in Luton who will tell you which flights you can travel on - they are very helpful - the number is on the Thomson website.
