If you put in FLYUK in the discount code box, you get £20 off! Every little helps....

thanks for that, Lynne

Just a warning for Monarch airlines too - recently a friend of ours flew back to UK from Cyprus and the Monarch flights are all stopping off in Europe to refill their tanks as its cheaper than UK. Think its adding a couple of hours to flight times as well.

My daughter has flown to Cyprus three times in the past fortnight with Monarch and not stopped anywhere to refuel. I guess an extra landing and take off would nearly wipe out any price savings.

I've been on a couple of flights in the past that landed en route to refuel. It was not to do with cost, just significant head winds that meant they would have been unable to arrive in the UK with the requisite amount of fuel remaining on landing.

Liz 101, were these couple of flights both with Monarch [?] I ask as under normal operating circumstances Monarch categorically DO NOT land in Europe to refuel. Anyone planning to book with them should ignore the possibility of an extra couple of hours journey time.
Screamlead, your post on this was ill-informed, irresponsible and stupid [:(!]

if the plane is over takeoff weight then you would unload fuel to achieve the right weight
then refuel on route but this is not common
