Title: moving to turkey
Post by: dharma on March 13, 2005, 12:03:43 PM
hi all we are new members
we bought a villa in ovacik last year wich we are renting out to family and freinds this season.we are thinking of taking the plunge and moving out  ourselves so we have a few questions and hope someone can help us out
1-ideally we need to rent somewhere cheap til the end of october while our villa is being used.where is the best place to start looking for low cost rental?
2-what are the rules regarding bringing animals into the country?.we have a dog and 2 cats
3-to anyone living out there already-did you encounter any major obstacles while making your move?any advice would be greatly appreciated.
                 thanks!

Hi dharma

Welcome to the forum.  We also have a place in Ovacik, although only recently purchased it.  We can understand why you would want to live there - hopefully one day we will.  Hope all goes well for you.

Best wishes

hi Amanda mark, hope all goes well with your house sale! we too are at the mercy of the house market and are hoping we can be moved by July but maybe that's being too optimistic!! we are thinking of renting initially whilst our villa is being used and we look to buy somewhere to live. we would like to be around Ovacik or Uzumlu but are going to have a scout round when we are out there early may.
regards Jo & Mark
