Foster parents til November :) ;)
Still looking for a permanent home :)
-
That was very quick and very decent of someone to come forward and foster him until November, bless them.
He looks like a lovely Fella.
I hope he finds his forever home soon.
-
I knew Harvey when he lived with his original Turkish owners next door to our holiday home. He is such a lovely dog and we were so pleased when he was adopted into a suitable home. We do hope he gets settled in an equally good home.
-
A new permanent home is required though, the kind people who will fostering him are not permanent residents, if not homed, he will have to go to the sanctuary when they leave for the UK, unless of course YOU can give him a home.
-
aww look at those beautiful eyes. Come on someone...please love him.
-
Although we have found a temporary home for harvey we are still looking for a permanent home, he's an adorable family pet :)
-
i wish we could afford him. will keep looking to see if he has found a home or not and rethink in Nov. keep us all posted. What a lovely looking dog. What is he like with children?
-
absolutely fine with children, doesn't eat them all at once, he is living with a child at the moment ;):D
-
We met Harvey whilst we were out. He'd just been fostered by our neighbours. He really is a gorgeous dog - if we lived out there we would of had him, having said that we'd have them all!!! We looked after him for the day whilst he foster Mummy & Daddy went out. Brilliant on the lead, with both our 2 children. Went to sleep on the sofa with Hubby. Hope someone can take him on soon, bless his heart.

Harvey now has a new home...with 3new doggie friends in Kemer thankyou jenny for fostering, and thankyou Carolyn for the new home, great work you lot we couldn't do it with out you
-
Great news!! So glad Harvey has found a new home. :) :) Hope you will all be very happy together!
-
Thank you Andy and Simon for bringing Harvey over. He seems to be settling well and our two bitches have formed a fan club! Cleo is behaving like a love sick groupie. She and Harvey had a great game of tug of war earlier, as a result of which his bed is no more! Kye has given a gentle reminder that although he is the smallest, he is the boss but no blood was spilt, just a few rumbles!
Stan the cat has put him firmly in his place.
I've sent Andy a couple of photos which he is free to upload if he wishes as I can't!
(ps Andy, black kitten?)!!
-
Glad to hear they are all getting on :) will try and find out about the kitten tomorrow ;)
Look forward to meeting you again on Saturday 8)

I just love a happy ending, so glad Harvey has a new home.:D
-
Well he will be spoilt rotten in this new home of his, could not have gone to nicer people.xx
-
So delighted to hear you have given Harvey a home Carolyn, he is a gorgeous boy and sounds like he is settling in well with your other animals.
Some pictures would be lovely.
Thanks for caring.

Am so pleased for Harvey and his new owners, he is our neighbours dog and a very handsome one at that. It seems like a win win situation all round. Once again stirling work by the AA :)
-
He has to be a great dog with a name like that!!
-
Hi June - thank you, yes he is lovely. I must be having a dumb blonde moment because I can't see how to upload photos, maybe I'm not allowed to! I sent Andy 3 photos yesterday in an email, he's welcome to add them if he wants.
Oh yes Jacqui, he is a great dog! Certainly a gentle giant and our two bitches love him. Kye is still trying to assert his authority.
Quite interesting watching the Turkish neighbours walking by our gate. One deep bark from Harvey and they leap back as though it is electrified!
-
Great news that Harvey has found a loving home. He used to live with a couple on the complex I live and he was such a character! The couple gave him to his last owners who, unfortunately, had to return to the UK. 3rd time lucky for Harvey, I hope ;)
-
Ah I am so pleased he has got a home - I have been checking each day to see. Well done Carolyn for taking him. We come over in Feb 2012 we already have a dog but I could take them all when you hear the sad stories and you look at their faces. Best of luck Harvey - hope you will be happy again.
-
I hope so too Jenny. He's settling in well. Very affectionate and pretty placid. Our two bitches love him and even our other male has accepted he's here to stay! He's got perfect manners and thankfully as he's such a big dog, he doesn't jump up or lick!
He did earn a rather large black mark last week when he tried to follow me when my friend picked me up to go out - he managed to jump the one part of our wall we didn't think necessary to fence. Luckily I was oblivious until after the event when my husband telephoned to say he'd spent hours riding round on the scooter looking for him, getting stopped by the police into the bargain (only a document check thankfully). I don't know what would have happened if he had seen him - I have a picture of Harvey riding pillion with his ears streaming out behind him!
When Mike finally got home Harvey was sitting in the garden waiting for him!
We are waiting for the "metal man" to turn up this morning to do the fencing and to make our gate higher but as the rain continues I think Harvey will only be allowed out on supervised trips into the garden for a while longer yet!
-
Aww Carolyn, He sounds such a good boy, and your other dogs sound lovely as well to have accepted him as well as they have, just a fab ending...although the monkey jumping the wall...but the lovely lad went home....so sweet..x
-
He's entered into next year's Grand National June!
You wouldn't think he'd got the energy to jump the wall. All he's done today is sit in one of the armchairs and alternate between wagging his tail and barking gently in his sleep!
-
He obviously knows what a good home means then :D
