I'm not one for watching programme after programme as it seems to be right now (although understandably), but this is interesting and very well done.

Beautiful imagery

Very well done indeed, however the sights of that day still reduce me to tears after 10 years. Unimaginable horror for those involved and who had to watch it happen.

Excellent.
I remember sitting waiting for the dolmus to Ovacik and saw this repeat of planes flying into the buildings. At first, I thought it was a movie until I saw a Turkish man crying. He told me what had happened and we were all numb and a number of people also started to cry.
The final thing that the man said to me was "How can they do this in the name of Allah".
All I could do was hug him.I will never forget that day.

We too were in Turkey when it happened. But for us it was our very first visit, to Bitez near Bodrum. We'd only been there about 5 or 6 days and having a wonderful time, but the full horror of 9/11, I must say, was felt every bit as much by the locals as by tourists like us. Everyone in complete shock and at a loss as to why something like this could happen.

Have to agree it is a beautifully made documentary and worth watching. It still brings a lump to my throat and I am sure everyone can remember exactly where they were and what they were doing when this catastrophe happened . Thank you for that link Keith .

Very nicely done, those programmes are compelling viewing but actually 7 minutes is a great tribute. About 15 years ago my dad went to the WTC and brought me back a mouse mat of the twin towers, it was one of those hollogram ones, where in one diretion is daytime and in the other its night time and the towers are lit up. Absolutely useless as a mousemat but the kids loved it. Needless to say it went into a cupboard and then some years later I was having a clear out post 9/11 and came across it. I couldnt get rid of it.

Wwe were in calis for our first visit. We watched the events unfold in a bar on the main street. The gist of the bar staffs comments were that America was getting some payback after they had bombed Hiroshima.Generally though, most people were more sympathetic.
